December...what a month!!

Well it has been quite a while! I have not blogged in about a month and boy to I have a lot to catch up on! Grady flew right by the 10 month mark and is crawling, pulling up, and, as of tonight, cruising around on the furniture! I can't believe how big he is getting! We celebrated Christmas numerous times and brought in the New Year with some great friends! I apologize in advance at the length of this post...bear with me!

First off, Grady's now almost 11 months old! I can hardly stand it! I'm starting to work on his first bday party and I just can't believe it! He is really getting around now and basically eating anything and everything. He seems to be stretching out a bit...he was 22 lbs at his last visit. He's almost caught up to his big sis...she's a whopping 25 lbs :) He is also starting to talk a lot! Although he makes a lot of noises, the only things we can make out are "ma-ma", "da-da", and "e-i-e-i-o". He is really cracking us up these days! He also has 6 teeth!!! That's 6 more than Gretch had at this age! And here he is...

Our first Holiday celebration was on December 6...St. Nick's Day of course :) He definitely visited and left some great Christmas jammers...and of course some candy too!

The next event was going to see Santa! We have started a tradition of going to see him (and by him I mean the real Santa at Frontenac) on a Friday night in December with the grandparents. This year we went a little to late in the month and waited in line for over an hour! Luckily for us the Pekarik's were in line in front of us so the kids all had some entertainment! When we finally got to our turn, Gretch was less than pleased. She has already assured me, "I won't be sad next year mommy." We shall see Gretch. On the other hand, Grady LOVED him!!

Next on the agenda...baking cookies with Gigi!! We made so many good ones and Gretch was such a good helper! She ate all the crumbs for us :)

Next we headed over to the Patterson's for our annual gift exchange. Gretchen & Grady were spoiled rotten once again ;) Everyone had a such a good time!

This was of course followed by the Adcock gift exchange, which was the next weekend. Talk about busy! We had a lot of fun being with everyone :)

And earlier that day...we celebrated Cooper's first birthday! Yay Coop! We are so happy we could celebrate with you!!

And then, finally, the big day!! Well, Christmas Eve and then of course the big day! We had so much fun celebrating with everyone who was in town. We started Christmas Eve off with mass at St. Gabes, then off to my parents annual par-tay! So much fun, as usual!

And finally, Christmas Day! We woke up to find Santa had left a new picnic table for Gretch and Grady! Can't wait until it gets warm out and we can take it outside! For now, we can use it as an art table. Santa also brought Gretch all new art stuff! Grady got a bunch of new toys. Everyone was very happy :) We spent the morning at home and then headed to Paul & Donna's for brunch where we got to Skype with our cousins in FL, PA, and Africa (so cool)!!! And ended the night at the Kurka's where Gretch and Grady got new Rody's!

What a month it was! This post wore me out! Hope everyone had as great of a Christmas as we did :)

Happy Turkey Day!!

Whew...are we tired! What a day we had yesterday! We woke up bright and early and headed downstairs to eat breakfast before we watched the annual Macy's Day Parade! I love it...Dan, on the other hand thinks I'm a big nerd for getting so excited about it. Oh well, Gretch and I enjoyed it at least! After that, we took baths and headed to our first stop...Gigi & Pop's for brunch. We had a great time seeing everyone!

Our next stop was off to Dan's cousins, the Bollingers. We had a blast there...and of course stuffed our faces again!

And our final destination...Uncle Shelly and Leslie's! So much fun and such good food! We were a little wiped out, as you can tell in the pics, but we rallied and had a great time with great fam!

As you can see, Grady had a perfect 1st Thanksgiving! Can't wait to pig out like that again next year!!

9 Months!!

It's hard to believe that my BABY is 9 months old! I can hardly stand it...he's going to be one before we know it!! Some of his new tricks include almost pulling up, scooting across the floor on his stomach, and eating big boy foods like mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, and ravioli. His top left tooth is about to pop through! Looks like we have some sleepless nights up ahead!

I wish I had some better pics, but here is a few from the past few days.

As you can see...this boy loves to eat!! What a great 9 months it's been! We love you Grady-boo!!

Happy Halloween!

Wow! What a weekend we had...tired just thinking about it! We started the festivities off Thursday night at the Kirkwood Halloween walk. It was a little chilly, but so much fun! We saw so many costumes...Gretchen was loving it! Not to mention all the candy she was getting. Gigi and Pops decided to join us and we ended up at PJ's for dinner.

Ariel and Daddy :)

Gigi, Pops, & Sebastian

We ran into our buddy Liam! For our next event, we woke up Saturday morning and headed out the front door to the 1st Annual Murdoch Ave. Kiddie Parade! It was so much fun! We invited our friend Patrick to come join the fun too. We got to wear costumes, eat donuts and cupcakes, have a dance party, decorate pumpkins, and go on a bat hunt! Our neighbor Kate seriously out did herself. We had such a great time! Here are some pics to prove it!

The whole gang!
Total parade wave :)
Parading it...
Check out these dads!
Kate & Ava!
Grady's God-mama came to visit too (& Aunt Mariette, but we didn't get a pic of her :()
Pumpkin decorating...
Gretch and Ava's dance party getting started...

And then finally, the big day...Halloween on Sunday. Poor Gretch spent the entire day sick on the couch. She did not get to trick or treat or have one bite of candy! So not fair. Since Gretch was stuck inside, Grady decided he wanted to play outside. So he and Dan handed out candy...which we ran out of in like 20 minutes! We have never had so many trick or treaters! It was soo much fun! By the end, we were handing out capri suns. Pretty fun! I sure hope Gretch feels better next year...I know she would have just loved it.

The patient...

As you can see, Gretch was feeling much better the next day! We had a great weekend, but are all soooo tired! Can't wait to do it all again (and healthy) next year!
