BEACH!

So, it's been a while. I realized after my last post, that I didn't have any other good pics of the multiple parties Gretch had for her 3rd bday...bad Mommy! But she had a GREAT week and is loving every minute of 3 so far :)

In the meantime, the Patterson's and Adcock's packed up and headed down to Gulf Shores for our 2nd Pattercock Vacay! It was soo much fun! I have 626 pics to prove how much fun it was, but I thought I would just leave you with a few of my favs....
We had SUCH a good time! I think everyone was in a depression last week getting back to reality! We had perfect weather, excellent food, and even better company. I hope that this tradition can continue for years to come!!

Gretchen's 3rd Bday - Party #1

Wow does this girl know how to party! She had one celebration for every year old she is! That's right...3 parties! Wild thing! On Sunday, we headed to my parents to celebrate her bday...as well as mine and Mariette's bdays as well. As you can imagine, we really just celebrated hers :) She got lots of new gifts! Like a new bike from Grandma and some new toys from Gigi and Pops. She also got a cool new green chair to sit in to open all of her gifts. She had a blast! Here are some pics from that fun filled evening ;)We had such a great party! Up next...the actual B-day celebration :)

Happy 4th of July!

We had such a busy 4th of July weekend! We went to my friend from work, Clare's, party first on the 3rd, and then headed over to the Annual Peterson 4th of July bash! Forgot my camera this day (tear), so no pics! But I did get a few shots of their cute outfits before we left! We had so much fun at their house and hated to leave...at 10pm! But we went home to gear up for the big day we had planned on the 4th!

It started out pretty rainy and we went up the street to cheer on our neighbor Meredith in the Macklind Mile! They had a bounce house, the that was PERFECT! Then after naps, we headed to our favorite firework watching spot...the McHugh's! We had such a blast! Grady was pooped and slept on Dan's shoulder through all the fireworks! But Gretch was wide awake...a little hesitant at first, but once Dan mentioned a firework looking like her gold sparkle shoes...she was hooked! What a fun weekend!
Next up...Today is Gretchen's 3rd Bday! Big post about that later! But for now...here is a preview...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRETCH!

Father's Day!

We had a great Father's Day weekend with lots of activities....as usual. We celebrated the whole weekend and let Dan do all of his favorite things! The weekend started off a bit shaky when I met Dan at the ER Friday afternoon. He was having intense stomach pains and it was really freaking me out (he's not one to complain about that kind of thing). Turns out after some meds, blood work, and a CT scan, he had some sort of stomach infection. So the next morning we started celebrating! We went to go get the kids at my parents and ran lots of errands! Sam's was included...where Dan got to do his favorite thing...eat SAMPLES! After a few more stops, we took the kids home for naps and started cleaning up the House (another one of Dan's favorite things...not kidding) for Sunday night...when were were having everyone over. When the kids woke up we decided to play outside and relax!
We stayed in that night to take it easy, rented a movie, and went to bed early! We woke up bright and early Sunday to go to Church and Murdoch Perk for breakfast!!
Next we hit up the City Museum! We went once before and the outside was closed. Ever since, Dan has been dying to go back! So off we went! I only had 2 minor heart attacks...so that was good! Something about being up really high and crossing bridges with see-through bottoms just doesn't appeal to me. But Dan LOVED it! And so did the kids...so I guess I'll just get over it :)
Here is where one of my heart attacks hit! My almost 3 year old really wanted to try and cross this pond on a pipe! It was all older boys I saw doing it, but Dan convinced me to let her give it a go. I'm very proud to say she crossed PERFECTLY! I was a bit surprised...I thought for sure she was too young...but she never ceases to amaze me...
Grady LOVED this fountains, but we were quickly scolded for touching them right after this pic...
We finished out the afternoon with a few more fun activities at the City Museum...we literally could have stayed for days!
Finally, Sunday night we had the Adcock's and Patterson over for dinner. Of course that meant the kids got to play outside in their pool!
All in all, we had a fabulous weekend! So glad it ended MUCH better than it started :) Happy Father's Day to Danny-boy, my Dad, my Father-in-Law, & Grandaddy! We had a great time celebrating with you all!!
