Fun in the Snow!

We finally ventured out to take advantage of all this snow we have gotten! Gretchen had so much more fun than last year. Throwing snowballs, falling in the snow, and of course making a snowman. Grady was sleeping for most of the "snow fun", but he did venture out right at the end. Dan was busy inside baking a cake. Yes, I said baking a cake. Can you say roll reversal? Anyways, the kids and I had a blast!

And just in case you are wondering, that would be "Shelly the Snowman". Can't wait to head out again tomorrow. Hopefully Grady can help us build the next one!

December...what a month!!

Well it has been quite a while! I have not blogged in about a month and boy to I have a lot to catch up on! Grady flew right by the 10 month mark and is crawling, pulling up, and, as of tonight, cruising around on the furniture! I can't believe how big he is getting! We celebrated Christmas numerous times and brought in the New Year with some great friends! I apologize in advance at the length of this post...bear with me!

First off, Grady's now almost 11 months old! I can hardly stand it! I'm starting to work on his first bday party and I just can't believe it! He is really getting around now and basically eating anything and everything. He seems to be stretching out a bit...he was 22 lbs at his last visit. He's almost caught up to his big sis...she's a whopping 25 lbs :) He is also starting to talk a lot! Although he makes a lot of noises, the only things we can make out are "ma-ma", "da-da", and "e-i-e-i-o". He is really cracking us up these days! He also has 6 teeth!!! That's 6 more than Gretch had at this age! And here he is...

Our first Holiday celebration was on December 6...St. Nick's Day of course :) He definitely visited and left some great Christmas jammers...and of course some candy too!

The next event was going to see Santa! We have started a tradition of going to see him (and by him I mean the real Santa at Frontenac) on a Friday night in December with the grandparents. This year we went a little to late in the month and waited in line for over an hour! Luckily for us the Pekarik's were in line in front of us so the kids all had some entertainment! When we finally got to our turn, Gretch was less than pleased. She has already assured me, "I won't be sad next year mommy." We shall see Gretch. On the other hand, Grady LOVED him!!

Next on the agenda...baking cookies with Gigi!! We made so many good ones and Gretch was such a good helper! She ate all the crumbs for us :)

Next we headed over to the Patterson's for our annual gift exchange. Gretchen & Grady were spoiled rotten once again ;) Everyone had a such a good time!

This was of course followed by the Adcock gift exchange, which was the next weekend. Talk about busy! We had a lot of fun being with everyone :)

And earlier that day...we celebrated Cooper's first birthday! Yay Coop! We are so happy we could celebrate with you!!

And then, finally, the big day!! Well, Christmas Eve and then of course the big day! We had so much fun celebrating with everyone who was in town. We started Christmas Eve off with mass at St. Gabes, then off to my parents annual par-tay! So much fun, as usual!

And finally, Christmas Day! We woke up to find Santa had left a new picnic table for Gretch and Grady! Can't wait until it gets warm out and we can take it outside! For now, we can use it as an art table. Santa also brought Gretch all new art stuff! Grady got a bunch of new toys. Everyone was very happy :) We spent the morning at home and then headed to Paul & Donna's for brunch where we got to Skype with our cousins in FL, PA, and Africa (so cool)!!! And ended the night at the Kurka's where Gretch and Grady got new Rody's!

What a month it was! This post wore me out! Hope everyone had as great of a Christmas as we did :)
